Rachel is a native Savannahian and local attorney. She attended Mercer University and then Mercer Law School in Macon, Georgia, returning home to her beloved hometown to practice law in 2011. She worked at several local firms before becoming the Dean of Students and Career Development at Savannah Law School from 2015- 2019. Rachel is also a professor of wills, estates, and trusts at Savannah Law School and at South University.
Her significant experience in practicing and teaching estate planning law led her to rethink how attorneys provide estate planning services, and she decided she could change things for the better. So, she started Nest: Estate Planning by L. Rachel Wilson, a flat fee, concierge estate planning firm.
Additionally, Rachel serves the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division (YLD) as an executive board member. Rachel is also barred in South Carolina. Her local volunteer work is concentrated on working with the Telfair Museums' William Jay Society and other local nonprofits bringing art to the community.
