Although Jim Pannell's practice currently focuses on representing Georgia cities, counties, school boards, public authorities, and underwriters in public finance transactions and the issuance of municipal bonds, he has a broad background in other areas of the law, including litigation, admiralty and real estate.

Jim is a past president of the Savannah Bar Association and the Younger Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Georgia. From 1985 through 1990 he was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives. Jim has been selected in each year since 2002 as a "Notable Georgian" by Georgia Trend Magazine.
